Habits can shape the trajectory of our lives. How do actions become habits? How does an activity go from stressful to routine – like driving a car (remember worrying about the center line and the truck driving beside you on the highway – now do you even remember driving to work today?).
How do people go from experiencing considerable stress over writing simple things like birthday cards to becoming best-selling authors or from being winded walking up stairs to running marathons? How about from playing with the dog after work to watching television and eating potato chips? Or the nightly glass of wine becoming an addiction that leads to destruction?
Habit formation largely dictates whether we make our dreams come true or destroy them. This class will explore ways to use habits to positively transform our lives in an intentional way.
